Here is a complete list of the tracks I played at a recent wedding reception in Norwich with a few afrobeat tracks added in for a night of fun too!
This Norwich wedding reception was held at The Oaklands Hotel. The bride and groom changed into their traditional Ghanian wedding outfits partway through the night. When they came back to their guests I was asked to play the Sarkodie track listed below.
As always these tracks were blended and mixed up live on the night. The starting point of this playlist was from the cake cutting with Sweet Disposition at approximately 8.40pm, straight into their first dance. This part of the night had more of a traditional British wedding reception feel. I was sent a few songs to give an idea of the type of music he bride, groom and their guests were wanting to dance to, plus a link to a playlist with the idea of afrobeat tracks they liked. I then cherry picked the more commercial sounding tracks to try and please the majority of their guests.
